John 3:7-9 The Voice  Don’t be shocked by My words, but I tell you the truth. Even you, an educated and respected man among your people, must be reborn by the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God. The wind blows all around us as if it has a will of its own; we feel and hear it, but we do not understand where it has come from or where it will end up. Life in the Spirit is as if it were the wind of God. Nicodemus: I still do not understand how this can be.

Blow Upon Me O Wind of God by Joannah Glaeser

Blow upon me, O wind of God
Breathe upon me, O Spirit of the Lord
Make my hands like those of skilled musicians
Blow upon me, O wind of God

Breathe upon me, O spirit of the Lord
Let me hear the melodies of heaven.

As a youth, I laid in the field beside our home and observed the shapes, movements, and colors of clouds.  Instead of wishing upon a star, I wished to travel  as a cloud around the world.  A compass reveals the direction of a wind, but where is the source of the wind.  The Spirit of God functions this way.  Think of rapturous worship on Sunday, one moment, it is quiet and the next, we are overcome with tears, joy, praise, and repentance.  Did you see the direction of the Spirit entering our sanctuary?  Why does God suddenly envelope us in His Presence?  Are you able to time the moment of entry and departure?  No!  Why?  We would make an idol of specific actions for a repeat performance. Listen to  John 16:13-15; “The Spirit of truth will come and guide you in all truth. He will not speak His own words to you; He will speak what He hears, revealing to you the things to come and bringing glory to Me. The Spirit has unlimited access to Me, to all that I possess and know, just as everything the Father has is Mine. That is the reason I am confident He will care for My own and reveal the path to you.  God is calling His People through the Spirit to develop listening ears.

Psalm 46:10Be still, be calm, see, and understand I am the True God. I am honored among all the nations. I am honored over all the earth.”  Ask the Spirit to remove the daily distractions of your life to focus on ‘witnessing instructions.’
